Following a fun filled day last summer, Wonder Day returns to HEART on Saturday 28th July with a day of free activities, workshops and fun for all ages. Here’s what you can do:
Pop-up Maker Lab with Leeds Libraries
Take on Lego challenges, make a stop-motion animation, and try out coding on our creative digital kit. Plus, find out more about this year’s Summer Reading Challenge!
12-4 Drop-in. Ages 5 and over
Charlotte’s Yoga
This pop-up yoga workshop incorporates traditional practices of yoga into a more game related, story telling set-up for young children to experience.
45 minute sessions at 12, 1, 2 and 3. Ages 4-12. No equipment required

Producing music with kids
Does your child play an instrument? Major Minors Studio helps and teaches your child how to produce and record their own music with an i-pad or tablet and add percussion, drums, keyboard and vocals.
30 minutes sessions at 12, 1, 2 and 3. Ages 6 and over. Please book in advance. (Maximum of 4 children at each session)

Has your child got a lively imagination? Do they love telling jokes? Meet Carla and the team to be involved in a joke telling competition, and help create stories.

Explore physics the exciting way, by trying out simple and fun science experiments. Let Marvin and Milo, the Institute of Physics intrepid cat and dog team, guide you through many fantastically cool experiments that you can then do at home to amaze your family and friends.

The Green Yard
Come along to the Courtyard on Wonder Day and help us to build a plant playhouse. We need help from children to cover it with plants and decorate the inside by creating wooden ‘name pictures’ to show you helped to build it.

Cre8 Challenge
An introductory session before HEART hosts an after school club from September. Involving mini challenges involving arts and science activities.
2.30-4 Ages 7-13. Please book in advance (Maximum 15 children at this session)
Kerfuffle Arts and Crafts
Join Sian for felt making and weaving.
