The Genius of Photography
Looking at photographers and their photographs
In each session we will find out about the lives of one or two photographers (living or dead) and look at a sample of their photographs. Just to mention a few that we might consider: Walker Evans, Robert Frank, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Robert Mapplethorpe, Fay Godwin, Martin Parr.
The tutor/group leader will be Lloyd Spencer (his contact details below). Please contact him if you are interested to come, would like to know more or to book a place. The group will be held on the 2nd Wednesday of the month, 11:00 – 12:30, in the Ridge Room at HEART. It is likely that the cost will be £3 to cover room hire and photocopying but will be dependent on the number of participants.
The University of the Third Age (U3A) movement is a unique and exciting organisation which provides, through its U3As, life-enhancing and life-changing opportunities. Retired and semi-retired people come together and learn together, not for qualifications but for its own reward: the sheer joy of discovery!
Members share their skills and life experiences: the learners teach and the teachers learn, and there is no distinction between them.
