SOUNDBITES – Monthly Poetry Open Mic Event – CANCELLED – please visit Soundbites Facebook page for more info and updates

We supply the mic – you supply the poetry

Put your name down for a 4 minute slot (first come, first served) or just come along and be entertained.

Readings by a local published poet each month. This month we’re delighted to welcome Howard Benn.

Howard Benn was born in the last millennium. At exactly the same moment, Polly the Parrot was born in Milton Keynes, New Guinea. Howard has appeared in several anthologies and gate-crashed Headingley LitFest. Meanwhile, Polly the Parrot has published ten volumes of poetry, won the Pulitzer Prize, and her memoir ‘How to Suck Seed’ is due out next year.

Polly wasn’t available for tonight’s event, but wishes Howard all the best.

Open mic list opens at 6.45pm.

Everyone welcome.

Entrance – pay what you feel

Soundbites is usually on the second Monday of the month – however this month we’ve moved to the first Monday due to the bank holiday.
