A free screening of the 1942 American romantic drama film Casablanca.
Rick Blaine (Humphrey Bogart), who owns a nightclub in Casablanca, discovers his old flame Ilsa (Ingrid Bergman) is in town with her husband, Victor Laszlo (Paul Henreid). Laszlo is a famed rebel, and with Germans on his tail, Ilsa knows Rick can help them get out of the country.
Memory Matinees screenings are designed to be inclusive to those living with dementia as well as family members and carers. The project is rooted in the idea that a trip to the cinema is a powerful way for people to reconnect with memories.
Everyone is welcome to attend these events and tickets are free. Lights will be left on low throughout the film and the sound level will be slightly lower than normal. Staff and volunteers will be on hand throughout but please note pastoral care is not provided and a friend, family member or carer must also attend.
Doors will be open from 10am
The film will start at 11am.
