House of Fun Comedy Club comes to HEART for one night only, while its usual home – The Original Oak – undergoes refurbishment. All tickets purchased before the venue change remain valid.

Due to refurbishment work at The Original Oak; our usual home, this show will take place at HEART, about 250 yds from The Oak. All purchased tickets will be valid at the new venue.

Angela Barnes and Katie Mulgrew are both still performing as planned. They are joined by the hilarious Sam Avery, as Gary Delaney has been forced to postpone his appearance until next month’s show on Friday 30th March.

Within a couple of years of realising a long held ambition to become a comedian ANGELA BARNES had won the 2011 BBC New Comedy Award and so began the career of one of the brightest stars in comedy.

Within a couple of years she had joined the cast of the Channel 4’s topical show ‘Stand Up for the Week’ became a regular panelist on Radio 4’s The News Quiz and began hosting Radio 4’s ‘Newsjack’. She has gone on to become a regular on ‘Mock The Week’ and made a hugely successful appearance on BBC1’s ‘Live At The Apollo’ as well as appearances on ‘Russell Howard’s Good News’, ‘Eddie Izzard’s Laughs in the Park’ on BBC Two and Dave’s ‘Alan Davies: As Yet Untitled’

She has continued to be a regular on the stand-up and festival circuits and takes as break from her current UK tour to play at the House Of Fun.

“Angela Barnes is the best mainstream female comedian I’ve seen since Sarah Millican… I can’t be any clearer than that can I?” – Evening Standard

KATIE MULGREW really likes making people laugh. It’s kinda her thing and she gigs all over the country in comedy clubs doing just that, to great success.

She’s done lots of lovely things whilst being a comedian like being on BBC Radio 4 and BBC Radio 2. She got to be very silly indeed on a couple of episodes of the CBBC show, ‘The Dog Ate My Homework’.

She won the inaugural 2015 Liverpool Hope playwriting prize with her play ‘OMNIBUS’ which was staged at the Unity theatre in June 2017 in a co-production with the Liverpool Royal Court to rave reviews!

“…enjoyable, lively and very funny. A great hour of comedy.” – Metro
