HEADINGLEY VALENTINE’s DAY SOCIAL

An evening of good company, vinyl and live music in the HEART of the community.  Food from the Rainbow Junktion, live music from the Soul Surgeons, support act from Steve Leach and DJ sets from DJ Owen.

It’s the Headingley Social – bring your friends, meet new people – come and enjoy an evening of good food, good music and good company. There’s live music from the SOUL SURGEONS, there will also be support act from Steve Leach – who will sing some lovely Valentine related songs, Owen will be DJing and of course some fabulous food will be served in the Assembly Bar + Kitchen – all in the heart of the community.

The Soul Surgeons are a 9 piece, Leeds based band with a 3 piece horn section.

Playing Old and New Soul and Blues not forgetting a good dash of Motown.

Originally formed back in 1996 by a bunch of eye surgeons for a fund raising ball. Though Ian is the only Surgeon remaining, they have been involved in many fund raising events over the years.

Be ready to dance with this energetic, uplifting, live music.

There will also be support act from Steve Leach – who will sing some lovely Valentine related songs.

Steve writes and performs his own material. He has always been moved by songs of romance and his current set is full of love, relationships and friendship. Described as blue-eyed soul and “catchy” all his songs are a mix of ballad and up-tempo. Mostly it is about feeling good and having fun. And on such a night that is how it should be…

Owen, Steve and the band will be performing in the Shire Oak room.

Pay as you can. Suggested £5 but no one turned away for lack of funds.
