MUSIC FROM 7 PM – 10.30PM
It’s the Headingley Social – bring your friends, meet new people – come and enjoy an evening of good food, good music and good company. Gip’ll be spinning the vinyl, there’s live music and of course in the Assembly Bar + Kitchen, some fabulous Italian street food by Salvo’s – all in the heart of the community.
And you’ll be pleased to hear THE DEVIL’S JUKEBOX are back!
Five vaude-villains playing red-hot ragtime, dirty, dirty 20’s jazz and scurrilous blues from the wrong side of the tracks. Red hot ragtime, vintage viper jazz and scurrilous popular tunes from the twenties and thirties is where the Devil’s Jukebox lives.
The band features Leeds Jazz legend Jim Lodge on clarinet, Pinky Camber Sands on banjo bass, Lotus Dubois on jazz ukulele, Scarlet Bonansea on harmonium and suitcase percussion, and Dr Bordello on hooter-phones and vocals in a line-up which pays authentic homage to the wild and eclectic hokum
bands of that era.
