As part of HEART’s ongoing film and music programme – this month, we along with Scalarama will be holding a special screening of ‘INDIETRACKS’ (Dir. Jeanie Finlay) a short documentary film of the festival that brings together the unlikely mix of Indiepop (including Tigercats, The Tuts, Jen Schande, Emma Kupa and Owl & Mouse) and Steam Railways… .
The evening will begin at 6.00pm with a Scalarama meeting, which will explain some of the basics of organising and marketing a film screening. Wendy Cook from The Hyde Park Picture House will give a short presentation on what to do to turn a screening into an event that will engage the audience and get your film noticed. Film Fringe will then screen a couple of short films using different formats and explain their approach to organising screenings in pop-up venues.
There will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions, share screening tips, have coffee and cake, glass of wine… Indietracks film screening at 8.00pm
Scalarama is an annual festival of independent cinema that takes place for the whole month of September. People from across the city come together to put all kinds of films on in venues of all shapes and sizes. Would you like to know more? Come along to the meeting and get involved!
HEART and Scalarama volunteers have organised this event to promote the showing of film in all kinds of venues. Donations to the Support HEART Fund would be very much appreciated, but no one turned away for lack of funds.
