Nestled inside the building is the Heart café; a great place to grab some lunch with family or friends, a creative place to hold a business meeting and a perfect hideway for an after work drink. Our meals are locally sourced, freshly prepared and suit many dietary requirements.

The menu offers heartier and light bites, kids’ menu and home baked cakes for you to enjoy while you unwind. Share with friends our selection of bottled beers and locally brewed cask ale as well as excellent wine.

The Heart café can provide catering for in house events and can be hired for private parties, music and arts events. Drop in, take a look and get in touch!

Heart Cake of the Month!

Lemon Drizzle Cake

• 225g Butter
• 225g Caster sugar 
• 225g S.R. flour
• 4 Eggs
• 1 Large lemon
• 85g Sugar

1. Cream together the butter and sugar.
2. One by one gradually add the eggs to the creamed mixture until the eggs are completely mixed in.
3. Add the sifted flour and the zest of the lemon
4. Pour the mixture into a greased loaf tin
5. Bake in the oven at 190 degrees for around 40 minutes until cooked through
6. Make a sugar syrup with the juice of the lemon and the 85 g sugar
7. Once the cake is cooked, make several holes all over the cake and pour over the syrup.
8. Allow the cake to cool in the tin.
9. Serve with a nice cup of tea and enjoy your treat!
